Prime Minister Stephen Harper committed our Canadian economy to cut CO2 by 17% from 2005 levels in the next ten years. The USA set the same goal as part of the same Copenhagen Accord with 77 major nations. The question for Canadians now is who needs to cut pollution more than 17% and who will get to cut less...or even be allowed to increase their climate pollution? The oil sands equal share would be 4% but Environment Canada calculates their plans will require them to grab 18% by 2020. Who will have to give up more than their fair share to the oil sands? You?
