Alberta climate policies driving national failure by Barry Saxifrage
Under current policies only Alberta is projected to have significantly higher CO2 levels in 2020.
Alberta's surging levels of climate pollution dwarf everything else. Rising pollution from the tar sands industry is driving both provincial and national climate failure.
Alberta will miss their "17% reduction" goal by 93 MtCO2. This is equal to 83% of Canada's national failure.

Clearly, there is no way for Canadians to meet our international climate commitment in 2020 unless Alberta changes course quickly.
